Administrative Assistant & Receptionist
Part time | 20 hours per week | Flexible schedule

An Administrative Assistant & Receptionist plays a vital role in the overall success of the Federation. This person is responsible for performing clerical tasks within an office setting to support daily operations. Their duties include answering and transferring phone calls to employees, sorting and delivering mail to employees and greeting visitors.

In addition, the administrative professional will support Executive Director on special projects and help coordinate the Federation calendar, provide basic data entry services, and manage inventory of office supplies. 

Duties and Skills

  • Front Desk and Customer Service

    • Skill and experience assisting customers in-person, on the phone, and in written communications to satisfy customer needs.
    • Ability to have a pleasant professional demeanor interacting with the public at a front desk. 
       
  • Microsoft Office and Computer Skills
    • Skill and experience in the suite of software including Powerpoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
    • Basic skills and experience in general computer use for typing, creating, and filing documents, sending and receiving email, entering data into a database and searching the Internet.
       
  • Administrative Experience
    • Experience and skill performing administrative tasks such as answering phones, scheduling appointments, filing documents, maintaining records, and generating correspondence.
    • Proofreading experience reviewing written text for typographical consistency, grammar, and spelling.
       
  • Organizational Skills and Office Experience
    • Ability to organize workload and processes.
    • Experience in office organizational operations.
       
  • Project Coordination
    • Skills and experience related to project coordination focused on day-to-day tasks and less on high-level planning, scheduling, or budgeting
