The Jewish Federation promotes lifelong learning opportunities through ongoing educational partnerships and events. The Federation works to provide engaging programming and ways for our community to learn and grow together.
Our educational opportunities are constantly changing based on the needs of our community.
Forever Learning Institute Partnership
Through our partnership with Forever Learning Institute (FLI), we have been able to offer a wide variety of classes set up in semesters that average 8 weeks. We welcome volunteers from the South Bend, Mishawaka area to lead classes.

This course will examine how the Enlightenment & Biblical scholarship impacted and continue to impact Judaism. We'll also seek to understand Orthodox, Conservative, Reform, & Reconstructionist movements that presently exist and explore how they developed.
This is a Forever Learning course taught by Rabbi Fred Nebel and is for adults ages 50 years & older. A portion of the $55 course fee paid to Forever Learning will be donated to Jewish Family Services Virtual Food Pantry. Due to the Jewish holidays, this course will only be 7 weeks. No class on Oct 3, 17, and 24.
Other Class Offerings
In addition to our partnership with the FLI, we have several other opportunities for our adult community members to partake in.
