Described as an alarm clock for the soul, the shofar rouses us to a higher purpose and awakens our hearts so we may bring blessings to others.
As its 100 blasts sound throughout this holiday season, we pray it revitalizes compassion for families in our community, especially those who rely on our Jewish Family Services (JFS).
Struggling to make ends meet, these families are often forced to make impossible decisions like whether to buy groceries or pay utility bills, purchase school supplies for their children or put gas in the car. These families depend on our community to support some of their most essential needs.
Now, as the shofar calls us to renew our compassion for others, we ask for your assistance in helping us to reach our goal of 100 $25 donations this holiday season.
Thanks to a very generous match from an anonymous donor, all gifts received will be matched 1:1, up to $2,500, now through October 5th.
